Brooke Barker

Brooke Barker is a writer and illustrator. She has been drawing for as long as she can remember, and started sharing her work online in 2015 as Sad Animal Facts.

Her first book was published in 2016 and was a New York Times and LA Times bestseller. Since then her work has been published in nine languages, and appeared in The Guardian, The New York Times, Time Out Tokyo, and Oprah Magazine. She has toured in London, Tokyo, Los Angeles, and New York, published five books, created a webseries, and collaborated with animal rescues, children’s museums, zoos, dog-washes, and natural history museums. When she’s not writing or drawing, she’s a volunteer dog-walker at the humane society.

Brooke lives in an old house with her husband and baby and a dog named Kip.
